Note to future campers! PLEASE SPRAY YOUR AREA FOR ANTS. We stayed our first trip in our new camper over the weekend. Our host recommended we spray for ants. It didn't help but we did make sure NOT to eat or drink sugary drinks inside our camper and we cleaned up and took trash off daily. We had site 63 and next time we will get site 78. 63 was good but it was too steep to fish off the bank for my uncle who has crippling arthritis. After Labor day kids are still able to swim but it's at your own risk and from the bank of the lake. We fished off the pier that we found. The bath houses were clean. We loved that we were able to see and hear a lot of wildlife like deer and birds. Overall we will stay here agian.

We stayed one night at this campground as a stop over coming back from Florida. It is a beautiful park. It is wooded and right next to the water. Many of the sites have the lake right below them. It was signed pretty well so that you can navigate to your spot. We arrived late and were able to find it. The staff was very pleasant. Our site was pretty level but a little bit of an angle from front to back. It appeared other sites may also have some leveling concerns especially if your a bigger rig so read the description well. We did notice some trash still on and around our site, cigarette butts, a piece of wire an empty soda bottle. Overall we enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Beautiful public access to Lake Oconee with nice pods for camping and rving. The staff is friendly and very helpful. This place is well kept or brand new because the bathrooms were clean and the property was well taken care of. It has a nice white sand beach to make you feel like your in the Caribbean or some far away oasis. Just stopped by on the way back from Atlanta but can't wait to come back and camp.

DO NOT visit this Old Salem until they have new camp host. We have been camping for over 15 years and never ever had one issue until this weekend.

They are owned by GA power, off Lake Oconee. We will not be back! The camp host, Marie was not only rude but cause many issues our entire trip. We had 5 sites. She called GA power on us 3 time, called the police, cussed us in front of small children, call us names, and the list goes on. Instead of resolving small issues or misunderstandings calmly she would start getting loud, rude, cussing and calling names. She would say one thing and then go back changing the “rules”. At one point she accused us of hiding a car so we didn’t have to pay a $5 pass. She called one of our adult group members a spoiled brat, said our children were rude and disrespectful(she never even spoke to them) approved a golf cart coming in one day then saying it was not aloud the next day. Her husband Larry disrespected one of our ladies in the group at the bathhouse our first night. We had a friend with our son, his mom came to pick him up and she even got ugly with her about picking her son up. She harassed our daughters boyfriend the entire trip. He came in to drop my daughter off, told him to pay the $5. He nicely said he was dropping her off and then leaving, she said go ahead and turn around, he thought that meant turn around and drop her off and then she called the cops. The...

On Saturday, June 13, 2020, my family and I visited the park for the first time. Our parking ticket stated that the park closed at 10:00 pm but we intended to leave before that time. My family and I so enjoyed the beauty of the park and the lake. My family and I said that we would come back soon. Around 8:17 pm, a lady came by and told us so very very rudely that park closed at 8:30 and that we needed to pack up and leave the park. Right then my family and I said that we would not come back to the park. I approached the lady and said to her that we did not know that the park closed at 8:30pm or we would have left the park before that time. She said that the park had been closing at 8:30 for three years. I walked away both angry and disgusted as to how this lady was treating us and spoiled our enjoying time in the the park. I told my family that we would come back to the park and not let the nasty, rudeand obviously unhappy lady spoil our visit to the park. This employee is a bad look for the park and people should not have. to be faced with a rude person when visiting the park. I prayed and asked God to help her. While I hope we don't have to encounter this employee again or any like her, my family and I will visit the...

I travel for my job & my home is South Florida, which I cannot return to due to hurricane Irma & I needed something shipped to me. I had a couple packages sent to me with the camp host's wife's permission.

I spoke with her husband when my packages arrived & he accused me of being homeless (I'm not, but even if I was, why does it matter? If you're being paid the full amount & I'm causing no problems then I see no issue) since I "used the address here". I told him that I got his wife's permission & he said that I could in fact use the address, but "I've never seen anything like it!" is what he said more than once.

He asked if I'd be leaving tomorrow (more like implying that I should leave & making me feel very uncomfortable & unwelcome) & I told him "sure if ya want me to then no worries I'm gone."

I wish I didn't spend any of my money here. I had planned on staying a full week, but now I will be going to another campground & spending my hard earned money somewhere that the hosts have some kind of respect & manners toward their guests. It's an ok place but tons of ants & mosquitoes.

I won't ever be returning & neither will any of my friends or relatives, I'll be sure to let...
