A delightful mixup brought us to this gem, when a traveling companion wanted to find gardens in Fort Valley and instead of Massee Lane, we ended up at Pineola. The owners could not have been more welcoming after we asked through their website about their hours. Typically they open to the public a few times a year but they invited us and spent 1.5 hours giving us a tour and telling us the many stories of the Bassett generations who lived in this magnificent property. The owners are not related but have a deeply preservationist spirit and clearly invested so much of themselves in making Pineola a true garden spot. The interior decorating, flowers and plants, and personal warmth are like a magazine spread come to life. Count yourself fortunate if you can get into Pineola, and definitely spend time in the Teacup grove.

Wasn't able to visit the inside of the house, but the gardens are beautiful. And where do fairies have tea? Why in the teacup garden, of course. Want to come back when they do an event for sure so I see inside the beautiful house.
