I rated this a 3* only because this is my third visit. My 1st visit was amazing. The water was so blue and green and completely see- through. It was so beautiful in 2023. There were guides to speak with and the garden was beautiful that fall. Picture perfect. Then that same week, I went again and it was different. A lot of algae was there and you couldn't see in the water and appreciate the springs. Today, summer 2025, I went on a partly cloudy day, some rain the day before and the water was clear in some areas but the water level was very low with lots of algae, mostly murky though. I'm sure it just depends on the environment, but it's a hit or miss. The grounds are still beautiful, no guides today, we had it all to ourselves, they removed some sitting areas on the "island", I think. ...

This was my first visit! Very impressed. The caretaker did a fantastic job of explaining in full detail the history an future of this site . Mentioning future renovations which the money has been approved for the up keep restore back to glory . Hurricane Michael did it’s damage. But soon that’ll be no signs of the incident. Looking forward to seeing the completion in a year or more. But until then I’ll be back . Especially for the exercise equipment on the premises. When I noticed a pull ups bar there my spirits was lifted immediately plus shoulder press chest legs machine there . Who needs a health club . It’s there FREE !!!

P. S. I’m thinking pedal boat rides would be an excellent addition. Maybe a couple food vendors on certain holidays would be...

So poorly managed. This is so typical of a once beautiful place taken over by those claiming to care for the environment. Humans have been swimming in this hole for thousands of years. You discover that artifacts from even the Mayan's ( same a North Georgia Mountains) have been rumored to show this, and yet so call environmentalist seem to think you got to just let nature take back over leaving no positive human elements to consider. Now it's becoming a smelly cespool. Lots of money raised to clean the massive algae growth.Yet two years later... Same nasty mess. Maybe all those humans in the past with their skin cells and oils feeding a healthy and balanced micro bio system is a good thing. Cuz never was an issue when swimming...

Zero-Star Review: Radium Springs could be a gem, but instead it’s a disappointment wrapped in neglect. The once-grand gazebo and casino ruins are now surrounded by murky, algae-filled water and walkways that haven’t seen a power washer in years. The grounds are poorly maintained, with cracked, uneven pavement and stairs that are downright dangerous—especially for anyone with mobility issues. The parking lot isn’t much better, with broken surfaces and no clear accessible path. The area has potential, but it’s clear that upkeep is not a priority. Dougherty County should be ashamed of letting a historic site fall into such disrepair. Avoid.

Went to the grand reopening of Radium springs. Beautiful gardens, quite the event that Dougherty County put on. Food vendors arts and crafts bouncy houses for the kids and places you can take your golf cart to go see the gardens the pond or the lake. And part of the golf course. We spent the entire day there! Would recommend this to anybody. Animal friendly. As we brought our little dog with us and we had rented a golf cart and brought it out there. So that we could travel from place to place.
