How could I of forgotten to leave a review for this wonderfully amazing place?! We stayed in the tent sites and were very comfortable! Super dog friendly and almost every single worker there was so kind and friendly. We were in a really tough spot when we came to stay and they did everything they could to help us out. I will forever be grateful for that, y'all have no idea ♥ I felt safe here, too, which is always nice. The bathrooms were nice and clean and the trash was taken daily. Bummed that y'all are closed these next few months! We bought a camper and were looking to come back for a week or 2, but hope y'alls repairs go smoothly! If we ever need a camp spot, rv or tent, we will absolutely be considering this place to return!!!

Edit: I stayed here for quite a while last year. I was obviously so happy with this park. I was disappointed when I went up to the front to give them the license plate number of the other person staying with me only to be falsely accused of breaking park rules. I was TOLD that I had multiple cars at my sight on a night that I didn't even stay in my camper at the park. My OWN vehicle wasn't even in the site. The woman who accused me was less than apologetic about the situation. Kinda felt like my mother was talking to me... I really feel like I was unfairly judged. I had every intention of staying longer. I have the money and I have obligations near by, but after the incident I just feel bad about myself and about staying at this park. I decided to just move out to Cleveland early instead of staying. Also, hearing that there were multiple cars at my site while I was away was very alarming.... Hopefully it was just an untrue statement and that's it. Not sure where the mix up would have came from, though... All I know is that if I falsely accused a customer at my job, I would be extremely apologetic. I was nothing but kind and respectful.

As for the spot and the rest of the staff.... The spot is perfect. I can hear the waves of the lake crashing in the morning when I wake up. The lake is right off of the spot, basically which is awesome! The sites are super well maintained as well as the bathroom. I'm in spot 28. Super bummed that I'm too uncomfortable to stay longer now. The rest of the staff have been friendly. The younger one who works the gate is absolutely fantastic! As well as Robert, I believe his name was. Very sweet guy! I still appreciate everything the other staff at this park have done for me. Again, you guys don't know how much it meant to me and how much I...

We came here for a little weekend getaway before our wedding. I rented an RV lot because A) We camp out of our car and not tents and B) We wanted a lake view, which you unfairly do not get as a tent camper in this park. I checked the rules before booking and they said nothing about requiring an RV to book the spot, nor did it say anything about not being allowed to sleep in your vehicle. We checked in and she handed me the rules and those also said nothing about it on there. Then at 10pm the security guy stops at our site and says we are not allowed to sleep in our vehicle. I told him it was perfectly fine because that is not a rule, I went over them several times and had to agree to the rules at checkout. He gets very defensive and goes on a anti-homeless rant that we didn't ask for. My husband asked him to show us the rule, which he couldn't. He said the next morning we have to pack up and leave. The old bald man in the office the next morning was so incredibly rude and downright useless. My husband was being very nice with him and he was so argumentative and arrogant and would NOT listen to anything he was saying. Again, we asked him to show us the rule and he couldn't because it was not there. We had to fight for a refund. It wasn't until Holly stepped in and agreed that we were right, it wasn't a listed rule. She gave us a refund, but we still had to pack all of our things and leave early over a rule that was not on their website nor on the rules sheet they handed me at check-in. How do you enforce a rule that people do not know about? And then how do you kick them out when they were right about the rule not being listed? Thank you to River Forks Park for ruining our pre-wedding getaway that we seriously needed and were looking forward to for weeks. This was a colossal waste of time and effort to travel here, set up camp, then get wrongfully kicked out. And they were so incredibly rude to us on top of it all (besides Holly). This is the only park we have ever been to where sleeping in your vehicle is not allowed AND they simply don't tell you that! Hopefully they'll update their rules so nobody has to be treated like this again. This...

I don’t normally leave google reviews, but the experience I just had with river forks park has blown my mind. I am flabbergasted at the rudeness of Barbra who answered the phone. I’m not sure why someone who is hateful would hold a job position that requires hospitality. I called asking about campsite privacy. I frequent camp grounds and a lot of places pile you right on top of each other. The website shows no actual pictures so I called to ask. From the get go she had a rude and impatient tone. When I was trying to explain that I would like a decent amount of privacy and would even be willing to pay for RV parking to ensure it.... she started saying no, no, no, no, no, no, no..... literally over me while I was speaking. They don’t allow that apparently, which is fine, but there is still no need to be rude. Then I ask if there are any tent sites that are more secluded and she says, “ have you ever been here before? “. Rudely I may add. I tell her no that’s why I’m calling and asking these questions. She literally says, “ why don’t you look at our website then?” ( very snappy ) the website has a map, but no actual pictures. I tell her this and she literally growls. I then tell her that I would like to speak with someone else and she quickly transferred me to Pam, who was sweet, but I’m still blown away by the down right rudeness of Barbara. Completely unnecessary, unprofessional, and sets...

A dear friend of mine took both me and my 4yo daughter to River Forks Park to fish and play on playground. This park is a Hall County owned and maintained Park and they really do a great job at keeping it up, nice, and clean. The people who oversee the day to day operations and grounds are extremely helpful and friendly. A Day Use Pass is only $5 for a car with 5 or less people. The day-use area is huge and the park itself is vast, at over a hundred and twenty-five acres. There are many things to do from swimming, to fishing, to boating, to cooking out, or even having a birthday party at one of there many, large pavilions. Added bonus, they keep an extremely tidy and very large bathhouse. You can camp at the 125 acre park by reserving either a tent or RV/Camper site, each area is separate. There is a HUGE, clean beach for swimming and clean sand to build sandcastles with. They also have one HUGE playground near beach and beach bath house and additional playgrounds throughout the park. They have boat ramps and docks that stretch out into the water to fish off of and good shores around the coves where the fish really bite. Our family truly loves this park.

VERY nice staff. Do a great job! The views in RV are fantastic. Plenty of wildlife, including deer and Canada geese. Campground is very nicely groomed. Now, why only three stars? YELLOW JACKETS! The county designer thought putting dirty trashcans hung every other campsite was good idea. Well, so do the yellow jackets. We looked at a several of the campsites and all are washed out to the point of being very dangerous. They have huge drop-offs from slab/pavement (18"+) with no railings. Most of the slabs are undercut, just waiting to break off (hopefully without someone on it). BATH HOUSE AT BEACH… OMG… over 100+ parking spaces, enough picnic and beach for 200+… ONE BATHROOM STALL! And NO PROPER ADA STALLS. Regs require one ADA and four REG stalls PER SEX. Also, no active mechanical ventilation present. Seniors and children beware.
