Great place for a nature walk. Excellent beaches on Ocean side of the island. There are no amenities on the island. There is no lodging. You need to provide your own food and other necessities. What comes on the island must comes off the island. Only access is by boat and you need a permit and a contact on the island, who will meet you at the doc and take you where you need to go. For the most part you need to catch the ferry back to the mainland the same day you come. I recommend coming with a tour group unless you're a research scientist with a permit or a relative of one of the island's residents, all of whom are descendents of freed slaves given land grants on the island...
