This is the fourth time we have been to Sunburst. We have always enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately this trip we were 10 mins late for our scheduled horseback riding trip. My daughter got carsick on the way. I called immediately (approximately 45 mins before our start time) to let them know we would be a few mins late. We were told that it would be ok and just get there as quick as we can. We arrived at 10:10 and they said that our group already left. We were told that we could still ride but that we couldn’t do the “off the horse” parts of the family adventure. Which was totally fine, but I assumed we get at least an hour an a half of riding. Our guide walked her horse on the ground and led him by hand 75% of the ride and stopped every 10-20 feet to pick up sticks and rocks and move them that she said washed up from the rain. So the ride was very slow with multiple stops. Which to me was fairly odd since the entire trail is covered in rocks and stick. We arrived back at the barn at 11:35 (the adventure was supposed to be a 2 hour ride with a snack and mini farm experience). So essentially we paid $261 for 3 people to ride horses for 1 hour. Granted I understand we were late, but it was 10 mins and I called ahead. So for that we were shorted the entire mini farm part and snack. Also we asked our guide if we could take a photo with our horse before we left with my daughter and she said “no he’s ancy to get to his food”. I later asked another person up front and she did allow us to take a photo at the stall. After voicing my concerns to who I believe to be the owner/manager I did get a notification that they offered an $85 refund. Still it was a 3 hour trip and $176 for an hour trail ride for two adults and a child that rode double with me. Sadly, I don’t think our family will be back. We have always loved our adventures at Sunburst but this one was...
Read moreI recently traveled about two hours to Sunburst Adventures with my family, excited for a memorable sunset ride. Our experience started positively when we were warmly greeted by a lovely lady at the counter who was friendly and informative. She quoted the price for the sunset ride at $154 per person, as listed online. However, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment when her coworker ( Austin ) came in and abruptly raised the price to $180 per person. While I understand that pricing can vary, this increase felt steep compared to other locations I’ve visited, and I found it surprising given the previous quote. Despite the price change, my family and I were still eager to go ahead with the ride, so we decided to return to the office to finalize the booking. Unfortunately, we encountered further issues. The same coworker (Austin) who had raised the price was preoccupied with conversations outside and showed little urgency in helping us we were just inside waiting patiently. When I finally sought assistance, he came in, made excuses about the availability of horses, and insisted that he needed to check in the back to see if we were able to ride the horses he didn’t even take 2 seconds to come back just in and out. Despite our willingness to pay the new rate, we were left waiting without clear information. It was frustrating to leave without being able to ride, especially after receiving inconsistent information. At one point, I couldn’t help but wonder if the treatment we received was influenced by my skin tone. In summary, the initial warm welcome and the breathtaking location were overshadowed by poor communication and a lack of professionalism regarding pricing and availability. I hope this feedback can help improve the experience for...
Read moreAfter scouring the internet "TikTok" and "Instagram" my husband and I found Sunburst Adventures. Of course, I read the reviews with a fine-tooth comb, because hey, my business reputation and money are on the line.
When I called to book the adventures, I was greeted with a southern pleasantry by a woman, who collected my information and informed me, that the person responsible for booking the excursions would call me back within a specific timeframe. Within the timeframe given, Elliott called me back. He was indeed the sweetest and very patient with me. He answered my unasked questions and explained everything to the millimeter. Making it easy for me to relay the message to my client. The data given was also sent via email
For the Cabin- booking my easy on the Air BnB site. Mrs. Becky was very thorough in her email communication to me.
Per my clients: We had a magnificent time on an adventurous yet peaceful 40th birthday getaway. The cabin sat a distance from the other cabins. The cabin was clean and so was the hot tub- which was delightful. Bring your pillows as the ones on the bed are worn and slightly uncomfortable. Every staff member they encountered was attentive, kind, and accommodating. They would return and would recommend Sunburst Adventures to others. Lastly, if possible, do not drive a low car there. The terrain is unpaved.
I look forward to visiting Sunburst Adventures~ FB: Deserving...
