Outstanding product. We came today for blueberries and couldn't be more satisfied. The berries are ripe, sweet, and flawless. Great size too. There are plenty of rows and bushes to choose from.
We picked our own but you can purchase pre-picked. There are two sizes for picked, 2 quarts ($13) and 4 quarts ($25). Picking is done on Wednesday and Saturday from 7-12. It gets busy and the lot fills quick. There is a reason. These are damn good berries.
While the title implies blueberries, plenty of blackberries, peaches, tomatoes, and flowers ar available in the warmer months. Fall months include pumpkins and apples.
Honorable mention is the green peppers we purchased today. These were absolutely fantastic. Flawless again comes to mind. They cooked up nicely. Today Iron Bell Acres was there selling pork products. The garlic brats are excellent and we wish we would have purchased more of these and the aforementioned green peppers.
Simply, this is an outstanding option for blueberries, blackberries, etc. The traffic on picking days is spot on and indicative of what is offered here--quality product and good...
Read moreWent picking this morning (7/25/20) with my mom for blueberries and blackberries after purchasing a box of peaches. We were sad that we couldn't pick our own peaches, but they look yummy! Shaded enough during the morning. Blackberries were ripe and easy picking, whilst blueberries were plentiful but slightly harder to pick since they were small. They were very sweet though! Morning Glorys were a delightful touch of color amongst the blackberries. All the workers wore masks and there was plenty of hand sanitizer along with a nice portapotty. We will...
Read moreMy first visit, I noted well organized parking and attendance. The farm is owned and operated by a couple who obviously know that customer service is the key to success. Blackberries arranged in neat rows, much like vineyards arrange grapes, and no thorns! Blueberry bushes were full the first trip, but not so much the next. I plan to go in the morning (07-30-16), and hit the blackberry patch again. We freeze them for smoothies, make compote for cheese cake, and use them in making crisp. Can't beat fresh berries, and the apples are good, too! Well...
