Updated due to response: Sara does excellent work. I had two cover up sleeves done which took a total of about 25 or more hours and thousands of dollars. She is quick so her hourly rate is definitely fair. We did have a miscommunication during the many hours of work and discussion of design. I tried to refer to a book that we looked at and the art was on her tablet or something like that. She told me she had 1000's of customers and I was being rude, I was not. I thought it odd that she perceived my response as rude due to my tone or words or something. I was not mad nor unsatisfied with any of her work throughout the whole process, just her conversation or lack thereof. I thought maybe she didnt like me for some reason, being to direct, asking questions. I thought about walking out, but I apologized as we still had many hours to go, I didn't want her messing up my work, and we moved forward. I tipped well every session which came out to at least 4 hundred in tips. At the conclusion of all the work she said that touch ups are free and usually with this amount of work a few touch ups may be needed. I emailed in January for a touch up with no response. I waited a month and then followed up in February and got a response asking for pictures and what I wanted touched up. I sent pictures and it has been over another month still with no response. Not sure if I will get a "free" touch up due to the lack of response. I am hopeful I can get another artist to touch up the few spots needed to be fixed. As noted in her response her attitude and approach towards customer service is clear. No response for months after multiple attempts. My 4 emails being "buried" is in my opinion not factual. She responded within 1 hour to feedback but after 3 months of emails nothing. No accountability for her behavior, poor attitude, customer service or ability to communicate without jumping to outrageous...
Read moreThis was my first tattoo experience and 10/10 would get another from Halo.
She worked with me to get my design and placement just right (even when that meant she had to replace the stencil three separate times.) Halo was very patient and encouraging. Since I was not sure if the experience would be too intense for me, she suggested we start at a place that could stand alone -a single berry- if the whole design turned out to be a bit much. I really appreciated her concern for my comfort.
I’ve heard many times how painful tattoos are but Halo has such a lovely light touch that I was able to do the whole session, no sweat! The shop has a very chill relaxing atmosphere and Halo put me at ease with her calming energy. I was fairly nervous at first but the experience was a good one from start to finish. I love my berry bramble and will absolutely go back when I am ready...
Read moreI highly recommend Wanderlust Studios and Sara. I was in yesterday for my first tattoo with Sara and she was amazing. It was a great experience, my tattoo turned out exactly as I wanted, and her art was so beautiful. We also had lovely conversation during the process, only interrupted by a woman named Linda (her review is below). Sara handled Linda's rudeness with grace and kindness. I appreciated that she didn't stop my tattoo because of another person's demands to be tattooed immediately, when I had the appointment not Linda. The studio itself also had such a great vibe. I loved the plants, art, and woodwork. Such a cool environment and by far the coolest studio I've...
