Very cool place! Tons of open space for playing sports and walking your dog, or just hanging out for a picnic. There's a small train that runs through the park and even some small carnival rides with a snack bar. There's some water features as well, and a bridge that goes over it. There's also a couple playgrounds for the kiddos and even a skate park. I thought the skate park was especially nice, overall the runs and ramps aren't too big, so the younger kids are able to ride scooters in the park. There were lots of kids are their skateboards as well and overall everyone seemed to enjoy it and they all respected each other and looked out for each other even tho most didn't actually know each other. We had a fall and tons of kids came up to make sure we were OK and even gave us space to get up and move out of the way. We will absolutely go back here for the skate park and everything else. We played the playground that day and got popcorn and soda and ice cream from the snack stand. Great place for all ages...
Read moreI'm in love with this park. It's a hidden gem in Gilbert or what feels to be since I always thought it would be small, but I'm so glad I stopped by. I was shocked at just how huge it is! There is a concrete path that takes you around the lake. Aside from some minor muddy scum at one corner of the lake, the lake is so clean and has some small waterfalls with benches nearby that you can sit on, plus a bridge that crosses over the waterfall area- so pretty. There is also a lot of well-trimmed grass everywhere next to the concrete sidewalk loop, so you could even just walk on the grass instead. No litter or trash anywhere. There's some shaded picnic tables along the trails. There's also 3 playgrounds: a small one, a medium yellow themed one, and a larger one by the parking lot. They also have a cute amusement park with a mini Ferris Wheel and carousel, plus a train; it was closed when I went. Plenty of parking too and it had multiple fields for sports like softball, etc. I am so excited to come back to...
Read moreI really like this park and I'm sad that we live so far away from it. Even so, we will be coming back here the next time were able to. This park has a big playground and a little playground so that you can choose which one is right for your child and not have to worry about bigger kids accidentally knocking your kid down or your kid accidentally knocking a younger/smaller kid down. There's also a big lake where you could go fishing if you have a permit. There is limits for how many of each type of fish you can catch. But its all posted there. There is a pretty steep hill between the parking lot and big playground so be careful going up and down it or I should the little ones need to be careful. There are also picnic tables under Ramada's as well. The best part(in my opinion) is the little train that runs a0round the park. We only got to watch it go by but next time we will definitely ride it if its...
