Read moreThis place is beautiful. I'm so happy a place like this exists in the middle of such a large urban area. Something to be aware of, though: we went scorpion hunting there, and the largest concentration of scorpions was found in the children's play areas. So if you bring kids, be careful. Also, the telescope is closed due to Covid. Not complaining about that, just another thing potential visitors should be aware of. Read moreI have to say that I wish I would've known about this observatory sooner! My husband and two of my boys went on Friday evening and Saturday morning. We were able to see the moon's craters and Saturn's rings! On Saturday morning we saw the Sun through filters and were able to observe a Solar Flare! It was absolutely amazing to see!
