Made a special trip up here all the way from Baldwin City kansas. I arrived at 3:45 p.m. and the door was already locked. A young lady and an older woman simply said that they're closed. I said it's 15 minutes until you're closing and they said they weren't making any exceptions. The older woman stated that they had issues and concerns with safety and they were closing at 4:00 p.m. with no exceptions. Very rude. She even said that she was not going to argue with me. Which at this point I wasn't even arguing I just simply stated that I had drove a long way to see the museum. The young lady just simply said sorry and walked off. Also available for you to try out is a device that proves 3-D came much sooner than recently. It was truly amazing how 3-D the pictures looked through this contraption. They have beehives, a garden that donates to local pantries ran by volunteers, an orchard, a very neat museum, and a little gift shop. Very friendly people running it as well. And the best part is...

The house was interesting and our tour guide gave us many historical tidbits. Quite a few hands-on activities so it's great place to visit for kids too. They also sell fantastic honey that comes from bees on the property. A great free Saturday...
