One-of-a-Kind Winery Experience in Yakima 🍷⛰️
Wilridge Winery is a hidden gem and an absolute must-visit when you're in the Yakima area. The property offers endless seating options—relax inside, cozy up on the heated porch, spread out on the grassy lawn, or grab a picnic table under the shade of fruit trees. There’s a perfect spot for everyone.
One of the best parts? You’re encouraged to explore the grounds. Grab a Wilridge Vineyard Map and turn your visit into a D.I.Y. adventure. Wander vineyard paths, hike to the winery and distillery, take in scenic viewpoints, and keep an eye out for marmots—we saw two! You can even hike in from the Cowiche Canyon Trail, which makes arriving feel like you've discovered a secret oasis.
The Wine Bar and Tasting Room is excellent. They offer a full lineup of Wilridge estate wines—reds, whites, rosés, and dessert wines—as well as local mead, cider, craft beer, and their own brandies and grappas. We tried both the white flight (including a smoky 2021 vintage) and the Bordeaux flight—both were delicious. Staff was friendly, and they have light bites and soft drinks available for non-drinkers too.
We loved strolling the wraparound porch of the 1900s farmhouse, soaking in stunning views of Cowiche Canyon, Mount Adams, and the upper Yakima Valley.
Bonus: There’s a rock climbing area (routes from 5.8 to 5.12), chickens roaming the property, and it’s super dog-friendly! Friendly pups are welcome to join you as you wander the trails, hang out on the lawn, or relax with you at a picnic table.
Between the wine, the views, the outdoor adventures, and the relaxed charm—Wilridge offers a truly unique and memorable experience. Can’t wait...
Read moreWe went to Wilridge today to do some wine tasting. The 2 gals that were working there were very friendly and accommodating. We had 2 tasting fights and bought one bottle of wine. We paid and left and realized that the tab was around $84 before the tip, which seemed high for what we had so we called the winery as we were driving home. A man answered the phone, I don't remember seeing a any man working there while we were there, but my husband explained that we thought we would receive an email receipt but didn't, and simply stated that the bill was a little more than we expected for what we had so asked for a breakdown of costs. No lie, the guy said "flights are anywhere from $15-$25 and bottles of wine run between $30-$60 per bottle, if you want a receipt you need to create a log in and get it, but we aren't making any money here" and he literally hung up on my husband. We were shocked to say the least. We had such good service while we were there, and simply were looking for a breakdown of what we were charged, my husband did not get short with the guy, but apparently whoever he was needs to sit down and enjoy some of the wine they're serving because he was having a very bad day, or at least I hope that's what it was because as far as I'm concerned he should NOT be answering the telephone. I'm still beside myself that it happened, and not sure that we'll ever go back for that...
Read moreI would not recommend ordering anything from this winery if you are planning to have it shipped. I ordered on November 17. You would think that for a $40 shipping fee, they would send it out pretty quickly. It is now December 8 and the wine still is not even remotely close to being here. They do not respond to customer service inquiries in a reasonable amount of time. When I finally got a response after multiple inquiries, I was told the wine would be shipped the week of Nov 27. 5 days later they created a label but STILL did not actually ship the wine. I emailed once again when the UPS estimated delivery date of Dec 7 had passed and the shipment had not even moved. They have yet to write me back but they must have seen the email because the wine finally moved into the actual shipping process. I should have bought the wine at the Pie bar and brought it home in my luggage. However, given the rudeness of the manager at the Pie bar, I probably should have just not even bothered buying wine from this company. ...
