This plunging 450-foot drop at the Pierce Stocking Drive Lake Michigan Overlook is a wonderpus view and the most challenging climb! The other is the Dune Climb at 284 ft, with a strenuous hike to the lake. These dunes are fun and amazing! The Dune climb is probably best for families with small children, and the Overlook is best for families with teenagers and are ready to climb the 34 story building! Read moreThe Lake Michigan Overlook provides an incredible view over the lake on top of a large sand dune. There is a short walk from the parking lot/bathrooms and it's mostly sand. Most people were leaving shoes and flip flops at the edge of the pavement. You can also descend down to access the lake shore and even swim from here, however there are warning signs saying it is extremely steep and you need to be prepared to climb back up.
