Not a bad way to spend a couple of hours. Not very scary but it was fun.... the jump scares do make it more exciting. In our group we had a 53 year old, 48 year old, two 24 year olds and a 14 year old and we had the 630 slot on a Saturday. We did see a huge diverse group of people of all ages! ( I even spotted a stroller!) First, parking could be better as when it was time to leave there was only one way out and it was backed up! Second, well look, right now businesses are struggling to fill the open employment spots and this place is no exception. With that being said I think they did the best they could with what they had. There weren’t too many characters walking around interacting with the people (which would have made waiting in lines not so boring- although our longest wait time was only 22 minutes.) The costumed characters inside each separate location were ok/good, some better than others and the ones that really got into character mastered the jump scares and the heckling! I will not give up a spoiler on who was my favorite and which scary house I liked best.... but I do have my faves. I love the idea of the carnival style food court... I could have used an adult beverage but hey, I understand why they wouldn’t offer that. We did not eat there but there is something for everyone to enjoy.... plus the smell of the funnel cakes was amazing! We did not do the corn maze so I will not comment on that.... but it did look like it could be enjoyable to me. Pricing? That’s all opinion, today’s prices go up and down and everyone is a critic on pricing. We did not Fast pass nor did we Skip the line. We waited anywhere from 6 minutes to the 22minutes- on a Saturday night!! The crew knew how to move the lines along, because it was busy and the lines were full. Overall, fun..... not very scary but I am ok with that. It was fun for all ages and the costumed characters knew how to interact with the age types. We were all laughing the entire time and yes you could hear me let out a scream every now and then. Artfully decorated as well.... even in the dark. Go, don’t go, it’s all for fun and people really need to just enjoy these little forms of entertainment in this crazy mixed up divided world. Oh, yes, forgot to mention.... it’s a very secure place... uniformed officers and security made sure we were all...
Read moreI wish I could put 2.5 stars because I had a very middling time when I attended with my family on a Saturday.
Costumes not being allowed was a bummer! I get the logic but it's still disappointing it came to that decision.
Driving in to park looked chaotic from afar. However, it was organized pretty well. There was a huge dust plume...since it's a farm with thousands of ppl walking around and kicking it up. I wore a mask to prevent my allergies getting bad.
My dad got called a racial slur while waiting in line for tickets by a stumbling drunk man. Kind of a rough start.
Staff was really helpful with directions and the food vendors polite. It was typical fair food that was overpriced but yummy. There were some Halloween theme drinks and food in addition to the typical stuff.
I wish the scare actors with chainsaws didn't get into antics near people obviously eating on top of haystacks. It reeked of gas! Those people were scary though - I did appreciate their efforts at startling people walking around or standing near a queue. They really got some participants frightened!
The lines look super long for the haunted houses with general admission access but we didn't wait longer than 10-15 minutes. Tbh I wouldn't have minded waiting longer if it meant giving the actors time to reset. I could hear them shouting and banging at participants ahead of me, so there was little opportunity for surprises. (An actress that sat, unmoving in the dark did get me though at Deadmans Wharf! so kudos).
I didn't care for the scare actor telling me to take off my mask bc "covid is over". He's obviously not a doctor for one, and second off, it was SO DUSTY. This was in the yeehaw farm house. Regardless, it's my business and I wasn't bothering no one with it. I think he was attempting to roast people bc he told my bro "you aren't as tall you say" (my brother is 6'3). It felt incongrous to round a corner into...that. Maybe he was bored and didn't feel like scaring ppl?
Anyways, there were some creative set designs. It's definitely a visual spectacle with consistent themes. The scare actors had some great costumes and makeup. I wasn't scared witless ever but at one point there were teenage girls ahead of me at the clown house that were screaming and hollering. That was pretty amusing.
So yeah! That was my...
Read moreSuch a waste of money. We went around 9pm on a Saturday and this place was beyond packed. And there was so much dirt in the air. Not sure how the ticket reservations work if 4000 other people can reserve the same time slot as you. We purchased the fast pass and corn maze and those were a waste of money. The fast pass seemed to have been purchased by half the people at the attraction so we still had to wait at least 30 minutes in each line. Then on top of that, the workers were so eager to push everyone through the haunted house/maze that we would see everything the group ahead of us was getting scared at. Not to mention there were only about 4 worker people at each house to actually attempt to scare you. Most of which consisted of wearing scary make up. Pathetic show. It would have been better if they added at least 10 workers for each house and at each corner of the rooms you enter that way you’re sure to get spooked by someone popping out at you. And also the use of curtains on the doors would be better so you don’t see what’s ahead of you and it gives room for surprise. Also, I would have enjoyed if the workers gave at least a 2 minute gap in between each group they let in. That way I don’t see 5 feet ahead of me that someone is going to pop out at me. Also, the corn maze sucked. There were only about 3 people working with chainsaws that would just follow you around. No one in there was hiding behind anything so that was a waste of money. They have port-o-potties for you to use which were decently clean. They had toilet paper, the sink washing station was a disaster. Water everywhere so you might as well not wash your hands or you’ll just get drenched in mud trying to do so. They had 2 food trucks/stations and one beverage station. Lines were long and food was overpriced and small quantity (go figure) and they charge you $1 for using a card. Outrageous. This is not a family friendly event. More so a place for young teens to go with their friends. I don’t recommend this place, huge waste of money. You’re better off turning the lights off at your house and playing hide and go seek in the dark if you really want to get scared. Otherwise you’re looking to pay about $55 per person for fast pass and corn maze, food...
