I've gone to this park maybe a handful of times for my children & the areas I usually use are pretty clean. However they recently opened a whole new area in this park and I realized the pre-existing areas could definitely use some work.

I went to their splash pad yesterday and as I'm walking up the smaller playground is there of course and they have restrooms but, they look beat up. The water fountains also look like they need to be replaced, one of them in particular looked like it's falling out of place. The splash pad gates were already open at 11:30 (it says it's open at 12-7pm)but, the water wasn't running and there were only two other women there. You have to press one of the 2 buttons (sensor buttons)for it to come on. There are no tables or chairs however there's three concrete style benches under three of the shaded areas. Where they have shade as the hours progress the sun is gonna make those areas redundant. So definitely bring lots of sunscreen. I don't really plan on coming here unless it's exclusively for the park.

There is a foul odor after a while that lingers due to the man made lake. And even though it says not to, ignorant people still BRING IN THEIR PETS(DOGS) INTO THE WATER DESIGNATED FOR CHILDREN. From my understanding they have a Dog park in this park. Take your pets there. And pick up your dogs crap. I saw crap a few times in the...

I recently visited this park and was thoroughly impressed. It's one of the largest and most well-maintained parks I've had the pleasure of exploring. The park offers plenty of amenities, including numerous eating areas with grills, a beautiful lake with a fountain where people can fish, several playgrounds, and many other attractions. The cleanliness of the park was notable, though there were a couple of minor drawbacks. During fishing hours, the area around the lake can become quite smelly and infested with flying bugs. However, these issues are largely confined to the lake area, and a short walk will take you away from the smell and bugs. As the evening approached, I noticed an increase in homeless individuals arriving at the park. While this didn't detract from my overall experience, it's something to be aware of. Despite these minor issues, the park is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon. The abundance of parking and the park's overall beauty make it an ideal spot for a family outing or a relaxing...

As far as the park itself, it is wonderful! It's kept clean, and the areas provide tons of options and fun for all ages! The skate area is amazing, with some deep sunken in areas that allow freedom to ride, are a great challenge and would allow the rider to preform all the tricks they desire! They have a basketball and a splash pad, but we haven't gotten to try it yet!! The playground equipment is in perfect working condition and has some features I have seen elsewhere! Lots of fun for everyone! We brought some new little scooter riders there to try out the skate park area. Sadly, it seemed as if the older kids and even some adults, were unhappy to share the area with a couple little ones. They would keep trying to ride around the area the 5 and 6 year Olds were riding and more or less made it uncomfortable and so we left. I was there once before with her, and the experience was not at all the same.. they were welcoming and happily allowed her to try to scooter! So it all depends...

Did you hear? There’s a new splash pad in Glendale and it’s so fun! šŸ’¦bookmark and share for the summer! šŸ’¦ Sunset Palms Park (5402 W. Sweetwater Ave.) got an upgrade this month with a beautiful splash pad that is almost fully enclosed (just one entrance and exit), and has three shaded picnic areas. Water fun can be found with moveable sprayers, an umbrella fountain, and the ultimate bucket dump! There’s also ground fountains for littles and other fun features. Great job @glendaleaz ! Other great Glendale splash pads can be found at: Glendale Heroes Park – 8300 W. Bethany Home Rd. O’Neil Park – 6448 W. Missouri Ave. Sycamore Grove Park - 8616 W Helen Lane and Westgate Entertainment District - 10645 W Camelback Road @westgateaz City run splash pads are open Saturday May 27, 2023 to Sunday July 30, 2023, open 7 days a weeks 11:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. . Then it changes Saturday August 5, 2023, to Monday September 4, 2023, open Saturday and Sunday 11:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. The splash pad at Westgate is open daily 10am-10pm .
