Whiting Woods Trailhead — Attraction in Glendale

Hard but in a good way!! 1.5 hours up to verdugo motorway tower. And 1.10 going down. I started running down because my toes were in so much pain. My only criticism is that my toes are killing me after climbing down. If you like the hostetter trail then this basically that but an extra 20 minutes up. Its longer but about the same terrain. Beautiful area. Lots to see. Trails are defined. Good area to hike, think, and observe nature. You see a few people, but not a crowded trail. The views are amazing. Great hike. If you go to the left on the smaller trail, its shaded and the terrain is a bit more varied. It was very easy for my kids, 3 and 5. A few slips climbing on rocks.
