Photo 1-3) Located to the right as you pass through the bridge for the first time. Approximately .15 mile or so, look out for the sign as it is a bit hard to spot if you're driving too fast. Great spot away from main attraction (boats, skis, road) and feels like a get-away if you like to be alone but not too far away from it all.

Photo 4-6) Located to the left as you pass through bridge for the first time. Approximately .25 mile or so, look out for sign shown in Photo 4. You'll continue down that road (Photo 4) until you see a sign (Photo 5) that shows 445A and 445.

445A (left) is shorter and less bumpy. 445 (right) is a lot easier to travel on if you have a truck. Both signposts lead to a hiking spot that is moderately difficult.

*If you own a dirt bike, quad or ATV, the roads leading up to the hiking spots are pretty smooth and spacious for cruising. The scenery is beautiful. Feels like I'm an ant traveling through the valley.

*If you decide to go on 445, the roads are still smooth but does become more wavey and hard to drive on if you don't have the proper means of being able to drive over large-pebble sized rocks...

In the spring and summer, the wildflowers are incredible as well as is the "bird life". We picnic at Cottonwood...it's quiet, usually clean, picturesque; and in the spring and summer, the white egrets, great blue herons and buzzards nest in the different large trees there. The surrounding areas, too, are all wonderful getaway places (but Cottonwood is free)! And there has been much more rain, too, so the water levels are up this year! Do we like...

Theodore Roosevelt Lake | Roosevelt | Arizona | Southwest | United States A great place for many outdoor recreational activities on a warm winter day here in Arizona. The temps hit almost 80ยฐ making it such an enjoyable day exploring the shore and collecting trash. #pnwqueerhippie #rooseveltlake #roosevelt #getout #exploremore #neverstopexploring #arizona #arizonalakes #arizonawinter #lake #lakevibes
