The Maryhill Overlook is a site installation on a bluff above the Columbia River Gorge. It looks like a long, concrete shape rising up from the ground and following the curves of the landscape. From a distance, it appears as one solid ribbon. But up close, it separates into eight different sections that open to the sky or form enclosed spaces. The solid concrete shape shifts and changes based on the lighting and where you view it from. Cut lines inside the hollow walls connect the overlook to the surrounding river gorge environment.
