Stevens Park — Attraction in Gonzales

This park has and continues to receive numerous upgrades to the maintenance and structure of the fields and playing areas. Over the course of the last 4 years, new management has assumed responsibility for the management of baseball operations. In that time, the quality of the baseball program and the condition of the fields has immensely improved. I know that a few people have commented on the accessibility of parking during peak baseball times. I know that this continues to be a concern that administration is trying to address as the baseball program continues to soar in the number of participants and supporters. The bathrooms are another area that can be improved at the ball park. However, one thing that does not need improvements and that I cannot forget to rave over is the concessions!!!! The concessions have many options for children and adults to select from and extend beyond the quality and selection of your typical baseball park food, such as chicken fingers, cheese sticks, fries, hamburgers, chicken burgers, pulled pork and snowballs. The park is in need of many repairs. The lights for the fields don't all work, the breakers need serious fixing to avoid electrocuting someone. The field crew work miracles to get the fields in decent shape for baseball games. The concession stand gets an "A" from me for quality,...
