Back before this place was a park, it was all swamp land. Who knew that this place could have transitioned into such a beautiful area to bring the kids to run around, play, eat, or swim! The park has many different things to offer from playground equipment, a lake, many soccer fields, and a walking path that encircles the lake and then some (not sure of distance, but a couple miles at least), places to fish, and a large shelter with bathrooms. Some parts of the playground, like the plastic coating on the metal, is starting to come off and is starting to show some age. Some parts may be sharp, so make sure kids are wearing shoes. Otherwise it is a great place to occupy your time with all the different things you can do!

LaCanne Park has soccer fields the kids can play in (as long as there are no games) as well as a playground, trails, small swimming area, and a couple pavilions with many tables. I like the swimming area because it has a gradual decline, so it is good for younger kids and older kids. When you are done swimming, you can rinse your feet or body off under the outdoor showers, meaning minimal sand in the car.

One of the BEST playground areas we have ever seen. Happen to see it on our way to LaCrosse. Besides the play area there is a basketball court and soccer field and a nice covered shelter with picnic tables. Also lots of benches for sitting surrounding the play area. We will definitely make the trip back!! 👍😊

One of the best places to go for free. Nice walking area, great beach, terrific play ground , pavilion for shade and a outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand, marked off area for swimming but No lifeguard on duty. Occasionally there is a foodie truck and the pavilion does have vending machines for soda. Has restrooms and handicap parking. Plenty of soft and very well maintained grass for playing catch to playing soccer. My favorite place to go...
