This was our first visit and we look forward to many more Traffic control and parking routing we felt like we were VIP patrons. Even parking on the south lawn thought that a long walk was in store. Not to be ; we were directed to a shuttle; it was clean; conditioned; the driver extremely friendly and helpful. When Exiting we were directed to the gate. Nearing the gate we were shown what line to get in. Though not really a line right in to the security check. Of course my steel boots set off the detector; not an issue a gentleman quickly assessed the cause a quick wand and pat down. We were on our way having no idea where we were going approached an usher; he was patient with our inexperience and directed us to our destiny. When nearing our area another usher provided the final steps to our seats. For us it was exciting; we enjoyed all the side bar entertainment the easy to get around the efficient restrooms. Though we didn't eat or drink the selection to dine or quench ones thrist was unlimited. We were childless but it appeared to be a carnival atmosphere for the young. When leaving quest service personal provide directions to our shuttle and as luck would have it we got the great driver. The exit was just as efficient and we were out on the road to our next destination The park was clean everyone was helpful and courteous; made for a memorable time. Our Thanks to the City of Goodyear its contractors and the...
Read moreI'm trying to make my way to all of the spring training locations in AZ. I've been to Goodyear twice now and I like it the best, out of the ones I've been to. Parking is free and traffic isn't too bad coming in. Going out takes awhile though. I don't think there are any bad seats. (Although I recommend a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of water if you've got a seat in the sun!) I have long legs and had plenty of leg room. Bathrooms are clean with plenty of stalls, so no lines at the ladies room, which is amazing.
I grew up in Cleveland and I love that they sell the Bertman Stadium Mustard. Best mustard ever! If you're from Cincinnati, they've got some Montgomery Inn Barbeque Sauce for you. I've never tried that, but I'm going to give it a try. The lines for the gift shop and concessions are pretty slow, so get there early enough to take care of everything before the game starts! A note to vegetarians and vegans - you might want to eat before the game. I didn't see any vegan options. Vegetarian options include pizza, fries, soft pretzels, ice cream, nachos. My husband found something online that said they had veggie dogs and we were really excited, but that must have been outdated because they didn't have any. 😒 Goodyear ballpark, if you're reading this, please bring back the veggie dogs! Get the Field Roast Stadium Dog that Portillo's uses, they are so good! They'd be great with some Bertman...
Read moreI had a great time at the ball park with my son and some friends last night. I met the GM and a bunch of other really nice people. It was a beautiful Arizona Friday night. The diamond backs were playing the Cleveland Indians. The smell of baseball in the air with food cooking was awesome. Being local to Goodyear it was first time at a spring training game. I can’t believe I’ve lived here for years and not been to the ball park to visit. I drive by it daily for work but never had been inside. I’m grateful for the tickets i received from a promoter of the upcoming car show and concert next week. What a great asset to our city. I got their early and it was cool to see a bunch of preparations being made for the game that night. Workers all buzzing around cleaning and getting ready for the game. The ball park was clean. It was also cool to see local venders setting up their food and games stands for the visitors to enjoy. I would like to go back with the rest of my family. We all plan on going to the car show and concert with 38 special and nite ranger next week. This should be a great time as well. Thanks to our city and all those involved to put on events and baseball games. Good times...
