Beautiful garden with plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the scenery. The garden is laid out in such a way that there are blooming plants all year around. The garden is small enough that one could walk around it quickly, but it is meant for a person to take their time and soak the nature in. They have also built some nice looking structures around the calendar that are open to the public to go into and learn various things about the garden and the property. This park is great. It is laid out in a circle that follows the calendar. All the gardens are planted so they bloom in order. It is a great place to visit for a stroll or to sit down and enjoy the tranquility. You can also walk along the trails down by the river. It is so peaceful. They also have park tables throughout for picnics. They also have benches throughout to sit and enjoy the scenery. A beautiful little treasure found in a corner or New Paris, the DeFries Calendar Garden is a unique landscaping experience, showing plants growing in spots based on the time of year that they thrive. You can walk around the circular brick path and enjoy flowers and plants at any time of year.
