Grace Community Church — Attraction in Goshen

I don't know this church well but I have two big concerns that contradict what I find on line. I knew John MacArthur from 1975 - until his recent death. I looked at the Masters Seminary for recommendations and this church popped up. While it is true that doctrinally, they are in agreement, the showiness of the Goshen church (giving away $ 500 gift certificates on Mothers Day and numerous other gimmicks) REALLY turned me off. Their doctrine may be close but worship style is completely different. I went a few times but there were too many things that concerned me. I also had an incident with someone who tried to engage me in an inappropriate conversation. There ARE many good people there. These were just two things that occurred in my brief exposure that turned me off. I'm so hungry to hear God's word and SEE IT lived out. I absolutely love Grace church! The lead pastor Jim is so funny and he makes things clear and relatable that it's just about impossible to not be 100% tuned in to his message every Sunday. There can't be any one else like him out there. Aside from that, there are plenty of different services you can go to to work with your schedule. There's different rooms for all ages of kids and it even has a workout center and playground for the parents and kids during the week. This place is no good any more Dana is not in charge and is ruining the experience we had an confrontation her and Max. They would not explain well the situation, they where being judge jury and executioner. I can't speak to the rest of the church or staff but I am very upset that the way my family was treated, but I a have a friend that used to go there and said they have gotten snobby and rude here and that why they left he said mostly the "elite of Goshen" go there. Also a side note if you have and special needs kids WARNING they are not accommodating but rude. We will probably never return to this church again and I figure we are not...
