The Good: The site is gorgeous and our guests at our event had a wonderful time with the notable exceptions of those listed below. The Bad: The owner of this establishment is among the most infuriating men one can deal with in rental space. If you lookup the definition of "Flaky" this guy's picture is sure to be right there next to it. After letting him know back in March we were interested int he space he quoted us at a reasonable price and waited for our confirmation. We confirmed and emailed him to do so. It took this man WEEKS to get back to us and then he tacked on a bunch of charges he did not make clear beforehand and after it was too late to change venues for our event. (If this guy even owns a printer, I highly recommend getting anything in writing before committing to this place). Fortunately, our friends and family are actually an organized group and mobilized quickly to deal with the last minute surprise. The Ugly: The website says this place "emits serenity and calm." Maybe if you enjoy being treated like dirt then this true. The owner (Richard is his name) was incredibly rude to any of our guests who interacted with him. He couldn't even be bothered to put soap, toilet paper and paper towels in the porta-potty we had to rent (Oh yeah, there's no bathroom access unless you rent his shady portable bathroom without soap and paper... you've been warned). Fortunately his daughter or someone else took care of us because the owner literally would've preferred that our guests use a porta-potty without soap instead of being bothered to help out. Some of our guests who came speak English as their second language and he was a jerk to them for not knowing the smoking policy (for the record, they were in the parking area and cleaned up after themselves).
And as if his rude, passive-agressive tone wasn't bad enough, during one of the quieter moments of our lovely ceremony, he started laughing and yelling loudly with the workers in the background and we could barely hear each other. The icing on the cake was when our guests were leaving he put fliers on all of our cars as if we ever intended on coming back. This man literally showed us ZERO respect from point of contact to finishing the ceremony. I highly urge you to consider anywhere else for your outdoor event, because this guy is a special kind of jerk not even the hills of Western Mass can hide...
Β Β Β Read moremy partner and i landed in THE most magical place on earth, the three sisters sanctuary. we decided after arrival to have our daughters graduation party in the sanctuary and richard made sure that we had everything we needed, even letting us use his great great aunts silver service for the event! richard is a wonderful host. our lodging was a beautiful space attached to the owners home. a two story apartment with a period kitchen, including a converted stove from the 1800's and in the arts and crafts style. it is quite exquisite, the walls donned beautiful original art, the bed was amazingly comfortable, the all natural fiber linens very fine. during our week long stay we experienced temperatures that spanned the 40's-90's f.and were perfectly comfortable at all times.
the sanctuary will move you to the soul. there is so much meaning and feeling in the entire 4 acre space.filled with art, flowers, beauty, giant stones and crystals, walking thru the gardens took my breath away.
i have fallen completely in love.
aforementioned, we were in western mass for my daughters college graduation and knew it would be the last time that we were in the area...that is we THOUGHT It would be our last time in western mass. we will return to the three sisters sanctuary again, i am sure. it's not often in life that you will find a place as amazing as richards place, if ever. i highly recommend this for lodging and events. you will be delighted and inspired. you will heal.
okay, this review is long enough review i guess, i really cannot say enough good and besides, i need to plant my next trip to three sisters sanctuary in goshen mass.

They are clearly miserable people who refuse to appreciate art, and are probably the type to walk up to an artist or crafter at a fair and say, "oh, I can make that cheaper, you charge too much," or "I saw that for only 2 dollars on Temu." There is ZERO excuse to not know what to expect between Google and social media. Seriously! If its "not your thing" that's ok, but its obnoxious to leave negative reviews. That being said, I go at least once every year for the past 6 years. It is so beautiful, I have literally been brought to tears on some of my visits. It truly is a sanctuary. And, as an artist, this is my "GOALS!" and inspiration for my own surroundings. This is a place for people with a creative soul that's full of whimsy, with open minds and wonderous hearts. It can even be a spiritual (NOT religious) experience. I saw one review complaining it looked like a "pagan landscape ready for sacrifices" or some such nonsense. As a pagan artist, I found that to be a highly offensive review. I enjoy seeing churches and cathedrals and their artwork and I don't complain because its Christian. Its 2025, people, stop clutching your pearls because the life of a loving creative doesn't fit in YOUR box. If that's your attitude, please DON'T come to the sanctuary, stick to Six Flags and Buffalo Wild Wings, so the rest of us can enjoy the mind-blowing beauty and the soul-nourishing peace that is Three...
