I had an absolute blast exploring Swepsonville River Park! First and foremost, the Raw River is absolutely beautiful, and the best word to describe this park is "peaceful." There are so many hidden gems here that only locals seem to know about. I had a fantastic time walking the trails and was fortunate enough to strike up a conversation with a fellow resident. He shared fascinating insights about the history of the river, which made my visit even more enjoyable. As a newcomer to the South, it was refreshing to breathe in the clean, fresh air, walk on the scenic green grass, and admire the fast-flowing river. The resident also told me how high the river can get and how lucky I was to have missed the recent storm that hit the town. Overall, I love this trail and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing walk or a place to take their dog. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature. Enjoy your visit!

We stopped to hear the periodic circadas that were emerging .They were crazy loud. It's a pleasant short hike along the river. There is canoe/kayak access. It's a nice place to walk your dog. Can be muddy after a hard rain...it is by river.

A shallow water river access, wade height across the whole Haw river here. Fun for all ages & a simple stone access down to the waters edge. There are also easy to walk trails, and a popular place to bring dogs on leash for exercise.

Very nice park with hiking trails along the river. We were there mainly to fish and didn't walk the entire length of the trails in either direction. There is also a good place to launch kayaks and canoes and a clean porta-john for a restroom. We noticed a couple of places where it would be cool to gather and allow little kids to play in the water. Several people were there to walk their dogs on the partially shaded trails. We...

Took the girls to the trails and found that the river was low enough to wall across here! This place was awesome. Being a pair of water shoes and a hiking stick and treat yourself to a stroll through the river! Saw fishing, tubing, kayaking... Was awesome. Enjoyed a nice summer day with the family, unexpectedly had a refreshing walk through the river and enjoyed the work put in to this park. Will...
