My wife and I took our five month old for a 40 minute ride up to Granby today to check out Addison Farm. The farm is located in a serene area of Granby, just a short way away from the main streets. The mobile farm stand is so cool! It’s a mini truck outfitted with a mini fridge, roof, produce bins, even a hand sanitizer dispenser. I was immediately greeted by Andy, his wife Courtney, and little Addison.
Andy showed me around the property and told me about each of his crops and how they are grown. The amount of time this family puts into growing each of their plants is unbelievable. They pride themselves on doing what’s right, not taking the easy way out. They avoid the use of pesticides, so the food they grow can be healthy and safe to eat. While I was getting the tour, little Addison pulled a carrot from the ground, rubbed the dirt off and had a healthy snack. That’s clearly what this family is all about.
Andy also showed me the hemp fields and explained the process of growing it from seed to plant, then harvesting it and having it processed into their CBD oil. They sell this online on their website and at the farm stand. I’ve tried their raw Cherry Blossom hemp flower, sprinkled in some tea. Although the federal government still heavily restricts CBD companies from advertising any of its many benefits, there are millions of people who can tell you what it’s helped them with. For me, it’s helped to calm my racing brain and relax me a bit. And their raw hemp flower lasts me a long time, with little doses.
Overall, it was a great adventure to Addison Farm! The 40 minute trip was totally worth it. My wife and I are already planning the next time we will go visit. Next time, I will have to get up there in the morning, as we arrived in the early afternoon and almost all the produce was gone from the farm stand. Apparently, people show up in droves to get the fresh produce daily! Affordable, fresh and healthy food. Why wouldn’t they?
Also, Andy was wearing some Addison Farm swag, and I totally wanted some. When can I buy some...
Read moreCan’t say enough good about this place. I received an immediate call back after leaving a message. I spoke with Andrew and he was extremely informative and there was no feeling of any type of pressure to buy or anything like that. I told him I was interested in purchasing CBD oil and he met me in his driveway on a rainy day so I wouldn’t have to get out of my car. I asked a couple questions and he graciously told me about the product and their farm and process. In the rain. Such a nice guy! The product is great, and he could not have been more kind. It’s a great operation they have there and I am looking forward to future purchases including...
