Amazing lake! Some friends and I went to granby Lake for the 4th of July weekend. We had blast! Granby lake is about 15 minutes from Grand Lake. Both places were beautiful. If you’re looking for a nice small town to walk through for food, bars, gift shops etc then I recommend the town of Grand. The town of granby seems somewhat run down and there’s not a whole lot there. However the town of Grand is the complete opposite. Also the Rocky Mountain national park is 5 minutes up the road from here as well! This location was absolutely beautiful. If you are looking for swimming and a beach type feel, then I recommend Stillwater camp ground. Here you can find patches of sand where you can walk in to the water as if you were at a beach. Also good for kids. Another campground that we staid was willow creek campground. This is not connected to grand or granby lake but it also has nice body of water at the camp ground and it’s only 10 minutes from Grand or Granby. (Pretty much in the middle of both lakes). Over all we had a great experience and I highly recommend this place for camping, boating, swimming etc. I’ll...

Beautiful and breathtaking lake… until you get to the part where HUMANS ARE TRASH!! I couldn’t help myself and had to pick up the trash and plastic I saw on shore. All left by disgusting smokers (cigarette butts) mostly, bottle caps and wrappers, etc….. if you leave behind your trash, you’re a disgrace! If you’re a smoker- destroy your own body but leave the planet healthy. Throw your butts away!! Absolutely horrible how much I picked up in a...
