Lincoln Park was created in an area that was once a neighborhood before the flood of 1997. There is a playground, horseshoe pits, community room/warming house, sledding hill, dog park, ice skating rink, frisbee golf course, picnic shelters for rental, bench seating in various areas, and landscape areas. The Greenway Bike Path runs through the park and there is a boat ramp to the Red River.
Like most of our parks and areas, this one is used in the winter, not only for sledding and ice skating, but the Lyons Club uses it to put on a drive-through Holiday light display to raise money for their club.

Anyway, the park looked beautiful overall but the dog park is this tiny fenced off area, the size of a large backyard, and packed with dogs. No one has control of their dogs so they’re all barking at the gate as you enter. No trail and just a few trees. Plenty of open space they could have extend out into, not sure why...
Read moreNice and good weather today for outdoor activities. It’s a very nice huge park, long side the river. Very cool place for hanging out with friends and family. A place for kids and dogs to love. There are some long good trails all over the river side. At this time of the year, you have to take your caution due to the warnings of the flood all over the area. The water level is high, some driveways and trails are completely closed. The boat dumps are closed too. The trees beside the river are half way covered with water. I love the park and I will visit it again when there’s...
