Great medium sized park with a beach over Pottawattomie Bayou. There are three shelters with picnic tables, a minor trail system, a dock, a deck for viewing the water, a sand volleyball court, large amount of shade from a couple of large trees by the water, bathrooms (natural lighting only), and more. We visited with a group about 50 and there were other groups there as well. It was a lot of fun.

Nice hidden gem on the way to grand haven beach from grand rapids Michigan. It's just 5 miles away from grandhaven State Park with kids playground, picnic grill and tables, few hiking trails and a lovely lake where we can kayak/fishing/okay. I saw people use Jetski there.

Love this park. Very few tourists know about this park so it is mostly locals. Lots of trees and shaded areas plus shallow water for the kids to play in. Nice playground although the kids complain about the sand getting to hot on very hot days.

My granddaughter is 11. She enjoyed playing in the shallow end. There was some algae, but she didn't mind. There was some shade for parking. There is a bathroom. They built a new very, very nice pier that my older grandsons enjoyed jumping off of. People were fishing on it. There is a very muddy area between the pier and the beach that you don't want to cross on, or you will start to sink! It's better to use the...

This is a great park for kayaking, fishing, and canoeing. The children's playground is really nicely maintained and there's no fee to enter. My only objection is that if you rent one of the little Pavilions it cost $50 plus another $50 deposit. The fee is lower if you are a Township resident which makes no sense because we City of Grand Haven people are taxpayers to Grand Haven just like...
