L E Ray Lake — Attraction in Grand Island

It’s obvious that the city puts taking care of this park low on the list. While it’s a beautiful spot to sit and enjoy being outside, there is trash everywhere and it just doesn’t seem well maintained. I thought that the P&R department in Grand Island was putting more effort in? But it seems like that’s only with select parks and pouring money into new park equipment rather than cleaning up the parks that already exist. Outside of the fact that L.E. It's nice and peaceful. A bridge to the island would be nice. That and I just wish there was more walking space for trails. To have such a beautiful spot, perfect for a great park! Then a golf course backs, right up to it 😑 I wonder if the park can buy any free land around it and extend it in some way? Connect the park with a land bridge or walkway over the highway? They had the right idea in making this a park, but not in setting aside enough...

Decent little lake in town with a awesome dog park. Way to crowded for my taste not by people on the lake or in the dog park. For some reason a lot of people like to just set in their vehicles there for extended periods of time. Don't know or care what they are doing it's none of my business but...
