Elmer's Island Wildlife Refuge — Attraction in Grand Isle

We didn't go on to Elmer's Island because it's a gravel road and we were camping at Grand Isle SP. We didn't know if we could travel the road or have a place to turn around. But we did stop at the new bridge at the entrance to do some fishing and crabbing. Didn't catch much but the people coming from Elmer's Island were so friendly and waved, some even stopping to see if we need help or how it's going.
