Really neat place. It's just off the side of the Hwy, so you might drive pass it and not thinking about stopping. No thrills spot, just a place to get out and look through the windows of time, see a glimpse on how life was, and read some information about the Cabin, and those who once called it home. I put 4 star's because all there is just the cabin, and you can only see it from the outside. It was in the middle of Dec. Still enjoy seeing it.

I kept putting off going here, and now we showed up a week after they closed foe the season. It’s a beautiful building and the grounds are well maintained. We did read the plaques and walked around a bit. Fantastic history! I’m so glad someone had the foresight to preserve all this for future generations

Oldest log Cabin in Vermont. Built 1783. Gives you view into the past and how they lived. Wonderfully preserved. Has a few item they used back in their day to day life. Step back into Americas early days

I am certain it would have deserved a 5-star, had it been open. It wasn't; We poured over it from the exterior vantage point only, peering into the windows where available. The lion's share of perception is what one can conjure-forth from ones own experiences and knowledge of history, to marry-up with what can be seen in real time... So, for us, we found this experience gratifying. Twood ave been much more so had it been open. We live in a part-time society with, at best, part time help. Yielding only part time...

Disappointed. Have stopped 3 times. Once was before Memorial Day, I understood they did not open until summer. The last two times were during hours they were suppose to be open. The latest was today. Doors were locked. You can peek in the windows but wanted to see the interior. Please adjust the days/hours listed to reflect when they are actually open...
