There is so much to say about this church. I was raised Southern Baptist. Like hardcore Southern Baptist. If you think this church is about God, you are incorrect. This church is about butts in seats. Because that translates to more money. From a marketing perspective they really nailed it. They know kids run the show in most families these days. You can tell by the massive Disney themed center they built. After all, if your kids arent happy, you arent happy. They dont even teach kids the word. They just basically babysit them til service is over. Then the new pastor...oh what to say about him. He was trying to make a joke about Texas, saying he didnt understand the hype. "What about Texas is there to mess with?" Not funny. Go back to where you came from then. Name isnt even worth remembering. Here's hoping he gets to stick around and keep that big fat paycheck he is getting from the tithings of all the poor little sheep that dont realize they are in a cult. I was looking through the reviews and noticed Im not the only one pointing that out. I also noticed that there are 5 star reviews thrown in and the reviewer only has one review and its to the church. Having trouble burying your bad reviews? This place is ran more like a business than a place of community and worship. Anywho, this church is designed to make money, not get you closer to GOD. They dont care about you. Not certain they care about GOD either, otherwise they wouldnt act the way they do. I take comfort in knowing that GOD sees it all even when they are trying to hide their true intentions behind big fancy buildings. May GOD forgive them when the time comes. And may GOD bless those still giving their money...
Read moreI went to crossroads my entire life and I really enjoyed it. That is, until I was told I was going to hell for something I could not change. It broke my heart to realize that I was no longer welcome in a community that I had been a part of for 15 years, simply because of the way I love. I remember being a young child going to bible school and being told that Jesus loves me, no matter what. It was disheartening to learn that apparently Jesus’ love and acceptance no longer applied to me. The way this church and its counselors treated me during a time of great fear and uncertainty unfortunately strained my relationship with the lord to the greatest extent. I truly did love it here and felt such passion for the community and my relationship with Christ. I loved both being a member and working within the church, as I spent multiple years volunteering as a teacher for the younger children and a member of the worship team. I’m so sad that my relationship with the lord has been tainted by statements like these, and the emotional impact of being pushed away from the church and it’s members has truly made it so much harder for me to feel like I am allowed to be a Christian. I wish that you and the other pastors had been just a little more accepting and tolerant, as it felt a bit hypocritical to be preaching the power and importance of love whilst also casting away those who love differently than you. I wish this church the best, but my relationship with Christ has never been the same and unfortunately, I don’t know if it...
Read moreI have found my church home and God at Crossroads Christian Church. I first entered this church in 2016. I was broken, angry, bitter and very lost after a terrible breakup. I had been a lifelong atheist and had never believed in any form of higher power. I was introduced to Crossroads by a family member and was met by kind, caring door greeters and ushers. Although it took several months for me to feel comfortable with with God and finally get saved I am so glad that I have and I will never look back.
I understand now that as a Christian I don't have to be perfect (as no one that walks this earth is) I just have to have a personal relationship with Christ and do my best to be a good person. This is a church that is full of many wonderful, kind, caring and compassionate souls. I have invited friends, family members and co-workers here as I know they will enjoy the service.
I have also read the one star reviews and notice they seem to be made by people with fake names and only one review. I hope that you see the false reviews for what they are and come in and give it a try for yourself. You won't reget it, I sure haven't as finding God is the best decision I have ever made. If you want to see what the service is like before you go be sure to check out the livestream that is posted on YT every Sunday to feel it out. Easter is the best time to check it out go to website under events and you will see 4 Easter services to choose from. Also, if you are wondering what you should wear it's come as you are as all are...
