Grandview Amphitheater — Attraction in Grandview

The venue was not ready for such a large crowd. There was 1 vendor for food and 1 for drinks and you could not purchase both from the same lengthy line. The drink vendor ran out of beer early in the concert and had very limited choices in pop, two. I had cash but others did not and could not use cards for purchases, which was not mentioned on the site to purchase tickets. The parking was the worst. We were not allowed into the venue to park, also, this was not explained on the site where tickets were purchased. After getting to the concert 45 minutes before it started, we had to wait over an hour to get into the venue while waiting at 1 of 3 different sites for 2 buses to pick up parking overage. After the concert, a third bus was used very late in the process. I will NEVER attend anything...

Loved the movie in the park. The blow up movie screen was pretty awesome! The vendor select could be better at most of the events. Went to the Frankie Beverly concert as well and they only had 1 vendor truck for hundreds of people, that was very sad cuz the line was so long it took an hour to get through the line for a few options at 1 truck. And the security team they had for the concert was very unfair. The website states no umbrella, no outside food or drink unless it's a 16 oz. Bottle of water, you can bring a chair or blanket. But they were letting some in with umbrellas and some not, some with food some not, it your not supposed to do it then don't allow some to and some not because it did cause some dysfunction. Nice place with hills to sit on to watch the show (or outdoor movie if use screen). My daughter and I had our first experience there for "Bands on Byars" this year, an annual Aug/Sept event hosted by Grandview Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by local businesses. After Mayor Leonard Jones spoke, the local band Jackson and Mars" played (they're very good), and they had an outdoor movie (Super Mario Brothers), couple of food trucks, VIP tent with catered meal and drinks (including beer and wine), concession stand, and clean restrooms.
