Lots of fun things to do for the kiddos. Definitely has the potential to be an amazing family activity. I was just very disappointed in the staff. 70% were disengaged, and seemingly did not want to be there. Mostly the teenagers. Iām assuming volunteers? It was a rainy day, in their defense, but when we would go to do the activities, I felt like I had to continually ask questions and interrupt their private or phone conversations. I felt like I was pestering them. I got a lot of blank stares. I just expect a place that has family activities for kids to be a little more.... friendly? At least explain what we are doing and how to clean up. Just donāt assume we will figure it out. Kids are exhausting. My brain is tired. Lol
( pumpkin painting specifically ) 10/03/20 I appreciate that the younger generation is really into politics this year, but those conversations/arguments that you are having on social media can wait. This was a family space. Please continue to fight the good fight, but let the family activities be an escape. Our little kiddos hear enough negativity these days. They need safe spaces. And honestly... so do the adults.
I appreciate the staff that were running the scary/haunted maze. I had my nieces with me (5 and 7) who were convinced that they could handle it and really wanted to go through it. We were asked if they wanted us to tone it down ( be less scary ) Which I was thankful for... and all of those teenagers working it seemed to genuinely enjoy the activity. They did a great job being scary but not TOO scary. :) Thank you!
Overall a great space and good for families. Could use a little...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the best pumpkin patch to go to in all of the St Louis area. It is not so big to be commercialized like other places yet not too small. There are plenty of things to do for kids of all ages, and that includes adults! There is a corn maze, tractor ride, pony and camel rides, local vendors and concessions, live music, a spook house, and many other areas to play. Admission and parking is free. There are tickets you can buy to do the actual activities and tickets are $1 each. Most events or play areas are anywhere between two and five tickets. For me, the Highlight is always walking around the actual pumpkin patch and that is free oh, pumpkins cost $0.50 per pound. I got three fairly large pumpkins and it was about $35. All in all, pumpkin patches are my favorite thing to do all year long and I've been to about every single one of them and this is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLovely family farm only about 8 miles East of downtown St. Louis right near Cahokia Mounds and Horseshoe lake. They have a wonderful Pumpkin fest for the kids and families on weekends until Halloween with a pick your very own pumpkin out in the punkin' patch out back. Nice petting zoo and various animals to enjoy viewing. These punkin's are much nicer perfect heirloom quality than anything you find in a store. I'd gotten one for jack-O-lantern if I weren't far from home and staying in motels. It's really amazing how you can find that small town sort of place and people while seeing a big city in the distance....
