Lakeside Park — Attraction in Granite Falls

There are some picnic tables and grills with cover, and a hiking path that will take you around part of Lake Rhodhiss that is fairly easy to navigate. There is also a put-in for boats, dock and benches for just sitting. It's a nice place to watch the sun set and listen to the water lap the shoreline. Great little park, after making it past the picnic area you will be faced with a steep downhill which will also be a steep uphill when you return to your vehicle but other then that the trails are wide, fairly level, and mostly well taken care of, some of the offshoot trails could use some brush cutting and cleaning up. Lakeside Park in Granite Falls could be a beautiful place to hike as it offers a pretty shoreline path along Rhodiss. However, it needs trail markers. It is so confusing with the several intersections along the nature trail. There also is quite a bit of trash and the so called observation decks are in need of repair.
