One star for location and one for office help. We arrive expecting full hookups with 50Amp. First site we can not park on because RV next to us is in head first with sliders out over our site. With us in correctly no room for our sliders, second site can not get into because campers are parallel to the road with slider actually out on roadside. Third site we were assigned, we got parked. RV next to us had 2 big dogs on 6-8 ft runs. Come back from day out and one dog is under our RV near our water and electric hookups. This happened more than once. Barking while under the RV. Other site next to us had RV, car, trailer and motorcycle. Each trip in and out with motorcycle he backed on our site and had to run over our water and electric cords to leave or return. None of 3 sites we were assigned had 50Amp or sewer that we had requested in reservation. Beautiful area to visit but do on a daytime and...

This lake wasn’t on our radar when we were planning our UP camping adventure. It really didn’t show up on any must-see lists for the area. I wish we would have brought our SUPs!

The lake front is gorgeous. Located right along Fort Wilkins State Park, the historic buildings add to the beauty of the location. A walking path connects the campground to the fort and lakefront.

The lake was under-used. Very few people were swimming or recreating despite the clear, clean water and nice weather. Perhaps because the area has so, so many things to do. Or perhaps because of the lack of a beach. It’s very rocky—pebbly, actually, not sandy.

Make sure and bring a kayak or SUP to this quiet, clear, and enjoyable lake. It’s a great place to relax for the day, right across the road from our country’s...

It’s a nice setting but don’t waste your time or money. Old outdated (not rustic) accommodations. Off and on wi-fi, ancient TV’s that won’t work and carpeting that should have been replaced several years ago. Terrible management who prefer to only communicate by email and use questionable business ethics. We arrived on time but management was nowhere to be found leaving a key and map to the cabin. We were going to stay several days but left after looking at the cabin and the...
