Nice place to relax and may be do some bbq. You can book the entire venue for your private event as well. We normally book it once a year for our cultural program and it is always perfect spot for it. We do fundraising for our non profit organization with sports as well. This park has volleyball ground baseball cages and basketball hoop for kids and adults to indulge in sports while others just relax sit down or grill. It also has easy access to the lake. Grapevine lake is huge so if you got a big boat For your party bring it out to enjoy the lake while others stay behind. It has electrical plugs available so if you need to get plugged in to connect your devices they provided that as well. We normally have a DJ for our event and they always have an easy access to the electricity to power their speakers and turn tables. You also get access to the water supply and can use it. There are water fountains not all of them work and weather can also affect it. This year fountains were not working not sure if that was due to the storm but that is something to be looked at by the managemet. We normally take our own water bottle anways. They also have multiple trash cans for you to...
Read more5 stars because of this log. My friends and I tripped acid here and walked up and down the shore of the lake. At one point we found this log. One of the guys in our group felt it was his destiny to carry this log with us. If was with us when we make our campfire, Lord Chandler, King of the Fwee Fwee. It cut one of our companions hand so that he may sacrifice his blood to Lord Chandler. This log served as a place to sit when we took breaks to smoke our Fwee Fwee sticks (cigarettes). But alas, the logs journey with us came to an end when it was time to leave. Me and my companion hurled this log into the water, giving it a burial at sea. A worthy honor for a log that had served us so well. After the lake flooded, the log found its way back to the shore where I would discover it 7 years later. It severed the purpose of seating my 5 year old daughter who made an adventure of her own with it, unaware of the history and journey that I too have shared...
Read moreThis was a beautiful park on the shore of Lake Grapevine, beautiful view of the lake and of the dam. There are many athletic fields for both soccer and baseball and there is plenty of parking - although none of the fields were in use at the time so perhaps a different situation then. Covered picnic tables looked like it could be a great place for a family outing although I'd hope it would be possible to reserve through the city to ensure a planned family day would be possible. The marina is also accessed through this park and we were amazed at the size of some of the boats - cabin cruisers - so I imagine the lake must be deep enough not to scrape bottom. This was like a hidden jewel, we've lived in Grapevine for years but haven't been back to this park in over 15 years and the kids quit playing soccer...
