My husband and I really enjoyed the Hank Williams Jr./Kid Rock concert, but Kid Rock played the previous night. Boo. (Not was I perceived as advertised!) Anyway, fairgrounds not responsible for that. The grounds aren't big enough for the volume! Way to muddy! The bathrooms/outhouses BEYOND DISGUISTING!!! The fairgrounds, suggestion, email that it is STANDING ROOM ONLY, AND IF IT RAINS? YOU'LL BE WALKING IN 3 INCHES OF MUD SLIDING AROUND LIKE YOU ARE IN A MUD WRESTLING MATCH!!! UGH!! FURTHERMORE, THEY definitely oversold the concert! I realize it's all how an individual handles whatever comes at them, but it took 1.5 hours just to walk back to the truck, and the concert wasn't even finished! Way too many people! The environment was NOT fun! Yes, we enjoyed the music, but can't stand this fairground! Yuk. Sorry..not sorry..

Heated bathrooms were greatly appreciated at our last show of the season in absolutely horrible weather (freezing cold, pouring rain, severe winds) but the stalls were clean and dry, the ring - though sloppy - was clearly kept as were the grounds themselves. Everyone I encountered was amiable and welcoming. We had a great time aside from the miserable weather! Looking forward to more shows in the coming year!

Went to the first Rock the country concert. Everybody in the area was very nice. I expect things will upgrade as the years or a few of these concerts go by. Streets, Lighting, lodging, restaurants, this area was hit pretty hard the last 4 years economically. But they rose for this occasion. I enjoyed the show and the area a lot. Great parks for hiking, seeing the beautiful forests and sites.

As far as being a vendor or sponsor...DONT! Had to pay out of my pocket for an electrician to come and get me electric. Had to pay a friend to run water lines that ‘should have been there’. After setting up, was asked to tear down and move locations, not once but 3 times! Then when finally setting up for our last time, found out we’d been lied to about the number of vendors that were set up next to us. The undisclosed vendor was the FAIR BOARD! After paying $225 to be a part of this event, NEVER again!!! Pitiful excuse of...
