I have been a few previous times, and still enjoy visiting each time! If you love or enjoy history (in this case, military history), it is a wonderful place to visit to visit, and great for all ages! No price for admission (Free to enter), however donations are greatly appreciated, and help the museum continue to get better. The staff are very friendly, helpful and also provide guided tours if requested. The establishment is not like most museums (very big), but for not being government funded or "sizeable like other places", it is filled with lots of history and educational resources. There is a gift shop with all kinds of souvenirs, or other odds and ends, including occasional raffles to win very unique and sometimes impressive items (usually history related). There is also events open to the public, to entertain, be informative, and also sometimes raise money to support the museum. Have been to few events, where people from all over the country get together who share common interests with history, and vehicles throughout different wars and conflicts since world War 2. Being taught these values allows us to appreciate when another person or group of people is putting forth the same values we are expected to upkeep. The Museum itself is an amazing, interesting, as well as an educational experience. The staff is nothing short of amazing and dedicated to the shareing of history of the U.S. military as well as having an abundant amount of personal experience that they are more than willing to share. In the sum of thing this Museum is a must to visit for anyone who appreciates the history of America also if you visit you MUST talk to the vets, one of which is an retired Royal Marine who lived threw WWII and if you can get past strongest british accent you have ever heard he has amazing stoeies to tell.

We took a jeep ride throughout the industrial park and across the way to see the space shuttle tank. Our driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. He and my husband chatted away about the vehicles out front, the weapons and ammunition, and various other things we had seen. The information and the history involving Lee Naval Air Station Green Cove Springs before becoming NAS Jax is much larger than the small building that holds it all.
