Excellent park for kids. It is very new and has 100% artificial turf or rubber. There are a variety of activities: notably a 3-story structure featuring 2 enclosed slides from the top, a zip line, a half-wall maze. We didn't use the restrooms though they are available. There is also an app that provides another dimension of play (you'll notice the icons in the play yard). The park is surrounded by trees on 3 sides and a fenced parking lot in the 4th. There are benches around the play areas and 2 picnic table areas that are shaded (9 tables total). This appears to be a popular spot for birthday parties (there were 3 while we were there taking up 6 of the 9 tables). Did not appear to be an issue since most people did not stay for lunch/snack and need the tables. There are no grills provided and the park does not permit you to bring them. This is a place for kids with not much grass area so I'd suggest that this is not a place to bring pets. It's big enough today though there were lots of kids on a nice Sunday morning - it did not feel crowded. There is some shade in the small child area but most of the park is full sun so i suggest hard...

West Fork Park is the best park we've found to date!

It's incredibly clean with something for all ages, and I mean ALL ages. They have a seriously heavy-duty Zipline for the older kids, and tiny play houses for the little ones. Our 9 month old son was able to crawl around the tiny play houses and interact whereas he's been stuck in the stroller on other playgrounds geared towards bigger kids.

They whole park is AstroTurf except for a small section of live grass way in the back. The play surface is padded to prevent bumps and bruses if someone takes a tumble.

There's a shaded/covered picnic area with a whole mess of picnic tables. The toddler/baby area is also shaded, but it's effectiveness varies with the angle of the sun.

There's an AstroTurf covered hill right in the middle of the play area. Bring an old cardboard box for some Summertime Sled Riding!

There's a slew of musical playthings, too! Hand drums, tube drums, wood, and metal xylophones. They're all perfectly tuned, too! It adds to the pleasant nature of the park to hear nicely tuned instruments being played!

We will...

Update: this play area has been totally rebuilt and the new equipment is fantastic. It is my kids' favorite park by far. There is a maze, a zip line, swings, play houses for small children, running tracks, huge slide/climbing equipment, musical pieces, and more! (Older review follows) What a great place for imagining! Although this play area is a little bit older, it is very well maintained. Our kids who are 5 and 3 really had a great time. It would be great for older kids too, there were a few older kids there having a really good time as well. It seems like it might be a bit off the beaten path and not visited that much, which actually I liked. It wasn't super busy like some of the other parking areas. What a...

We love this place, my two and three year olds love this place. This is the first time I took them to a park with others there since last fall and I felt very comfortable. They have also put up gates at both entrances to the play area so that little ones can't run out into the parking lot. There's something for every child, zip line, swings, slides at different heights, and even a little playhouse that those that can't yet walk will enjoy.

This park is a hidden gem. The park itself is not large, but it packs a punch in stuff to do. There is a mini zip line, swings, as well as a few slides. This park caters to ages 1 to 100. I saw adults riding the mini zip line and having as much fun as the kiddos.. Topper there is also picnic tables and shelters. Good place to spend an afternoon with the kids of all ages...
