Nice to have a space so close to hike through. Lots of cholla though so be sure to wear the appropriate shoes. I would not recommend bringing a dog due to the cholla, loose cattle and limited shade/cover--I also came face to face with a big rattler on the 337 trail this week, right on the trail about 12 inches infront of me that reared up, I stopped then slowly backed away, and took another route but that's why it's really important to be vigilant and perhaps don't have music playing (heard it before I saw it). Some trail markers are currently down or covered by overgrowth, so I'd also recommend using the All Trails App if you aren't familiar with the area. Some trails have loose gravel or slightly steep declines so be prepared and have shoes that grip or take routes appropriate for your fitness level. All in all not bad, saw a bunch of quail, rabbits, geckos and the like too, not...

Network of bike & hike trails. Biking is good for beginner to easy/moderate difficulty. For me, easy/moderate means weaving through arroyos over some rocks and around cactus. Except for the arroyos, its pretty flat. Trails are a little sandy in places and you sure don't want to slide out on top of a cactus. You can avoid the arroyos by just turning around when the trail gets gnarly. A little confusing finding trail heads on Google Maps but worth checking out this big network of trails. Saw a...

Cholla alert - This is NOT a good place for dogs or people with light-duty shoes, but a very nice place for trail walking and biking. I recommend bringing a pair of pliers to remove the fallen Cholla joints from your shoes. The place is pretty big and intertwined with trails (see pic). It's easy to get lost in the wilderness (in...
