Hello everyone! Today, 10-25-19, I went on a school field trip with pre-school aged, special needs kids, one of whom is completely wheelchair bound, (you'll understand why I mention this little guy later). As with most of my reviews this is a bit lengthy so please be patient. The farm is located on a major four lane road running through East Tennessee. Maps placed the farm right in the middle of the roadway when it's actually on the right if traveling north or left if going south. It's not identified very clearly so keep a sharp eye out when you get close. I didn't and missed it. The parking is just a gravel and grass strip about a hundred yards long. Park wherever and however you wish. Entrance is through a fruit stand with prices being ten dollars each, three and under free. A note here, the stand is open six days a week. The corn maze, pumpkin patch and other activities are open only on Friday and Saturday. After you pay you go through to a large, grass covered area where most activities are. Keep in mind this is a working farm and your kids will get dirty running around checking the place out.
In this area there are three (four?) fire pits with hay bales for seating. Since we were there on a chilly, cloudy day, those were nice warmup spots. There are a couple bouncy houses, a dirt mound with large plastic pipes. Here is also the "petting zoo", concession stand, chicken coop, a large tent with tables for eating or just relaxing. A large corn bin is there for folks to get into and bury oneself in corn kernels. This is also where the normal sized port-a-potties are located, and a few games to play. The hay ride starts and ends here and this where the wheelchair becomes an issue. This place is NOT wheelchair friendly. I didn't go on the ride, instead I was making a friend (see photo). The ride takes you to the corn maze which you don't know till you get there. The people got off and the wagon left without giving them any instruction as to what to do or when the wagon would return. They ended up walking back to the fruit stand with the wheelchair bound boys caretaker having to carry him all the way. This boy also needed to have his diaper changed which had to be done on the bus because there was no where else to do it. I may seem a bit petty here but I think folks need to know these things.
Well, I guess I'm done. My apologies for having such a long review and my thanks to those who stayed till the end. I think people should know more than just the few words most reviewers leave. Have a great time if you decide to visit, have a safe trip and...
Read moreThis “haunted attraction” isn’t not worth the money! We did the haunted attraction and the hay ride to the corn maze was a lot scarier than anything else!! The corn maze wasn’t even a corn maze it was like 5 steps then u were at a tent which was the “haunted house” there was like 5 actors in the whole thing and one of the female actors apologized when she scared someone and all of the actors would laugh and say “oh lord” then walk off. After the tent u walk out and your done. It was terrible we had to also walk all the way back down to the concession area when we finished which was far!! Don’t recommend...
Read more3 at best. Maze was just that .. no fun clues, nothing to mark your exit. Grandchildren got frustrated as they had no clues to encourage them as they had at a prior one. The other things, the bounce houses ok. The fun area with a corn kernel pit was the best feature. They played in that for awhile. The petting zoo was fine except they placed the back of the basketball frame very close to the piglets who squealed and ran around their pen everytime a ball hit the backboard. Very inconsiderate of these piglets. The pumpkins nice. Overall I suppose acceptable but...
