Read moreOne of the world’s most beautiful places, hands down. To describe it will never fully do it justice.
Scale down the hill to the bottom. You’ll smell like eucalyptus and mint the rest of the day. Then wade in the creek, taking in the cascading sunlight on the water. You will absolutely encounter various wild & marine life. And what an incredible perspective of the bridge. Wait for the right moment for the waves to ebb, and then run as fast as you can out to the rock. Climb up to the top, then sit yourself down and take it all in. If that moment doesn’t clear your mind, ground you, change your perspective, bring you inner peace, etc, I really don’t know what will. Stay there long enough and you’ll have curious onlookers from the ocean of all kinds of species, but primarily droves of sea otters floating on their backs chatting with you. Don’t rush. Soak it all in. Because this is a precursor to what heaven will be like.
Give yourself a couple extra hours when you leave. Scale back up to the top. There’s two gates flanking either side of the bridge. Take either one and just start driving. Don’t stop. Just keep driving. Some of the road is paved, some is hard pack. It will take a while. You’ll cover a ton of territory and elevations - encountering wildlife and domesticated animals of all sorts, to driving through a forest of redwoods (wow!!!). Get out of your vehicle, hike and look around!!! I highly suggest it. When you reach the end of the path, you literally pop up at the other gate on the other side of the bridge. Just do it. It will go down as one of your life’s most...

Bridge itself is not super special, the view is great along with the beautiful coastline. The really bad part is, it's very hard to park the car, the parking space is very limited. And you can have two views(from both sides) and we got lucky to find one parking spot quickly. The view is gorgeous when standing on the small hill. Worth to stop, but not much you can do except...
