Spectacular view above a private beach. There's a point you could hike down but it's steep and not advisable. I did take a picture through my binoculars of what looks like a mine shaft just a hair south of the point. Even more reason to not do to much exploring with potential hazards under foot.

Much to my surprise, this turned out to be my most favorite stop in Big Sur. You can look directly down from the cliff you're standing on and watch the tides crash into each other.
