In my capacity as a parks and recreation professional, I have had the opportunity to visit this park with my children on several occasions, with the aim of gathering ideas for park and playground design. This Landscape Structures playground is of exceptionally high quality, boasting a nature-inspired design intended for children aged 5 to 12. The play area features a three-level structure, replete with a massive slide and a large split log, ideal for climbing and exploration. Children can engage in a fun-filled discovery of various critters hidden within concrete caves, log holes, and other secret spots, with a strikingly realistic bald eagle statue perched above. In general, Lake Rebecca Park Reserve offers a well-maintained and engaging play area, rendering it a prime destination for families in search of outdoor leisure activities. The beach is readily accessible from the main parking lot, with handicapped accessibility, although our children have a preference for the wide staircase leading to the saIn my estimation, it is the least crowded of all the Three Rivers District Parks.
Overall, Lake Rebecca Park Reserve provides a well-maintained and engaging play area, making it a great destination for families seeking...
Read moreWe came out for a hike on the billed 19 miles of trails. There are no trailhead markings. There is no visitor center. There are no maps available at the entrance. There are no posted maps near the entrance. The online PDF map lacked detail. The online interactive map would not open. I called for information and a very nice lady confirmed there are no marked trailheads. She could only direct me to one 2-mile unpaved loop. We happened upon a more detailed map after about 45 minutes. There are some numbered trail markings but no location maps at these points. Weâve been hiking the regional parks all summer and this was our worst experience by far. For heavenâs sake, put up some hiking trail markings or are you trying to...
Read moreGreat place for a large group. Lots of space for camping and activities including a couple of open buildings to get out of the elements and be protected. There are also picnic tables and grills. Neither of the buildings have electricity, so donât plan on using crock pots or electric kettles. There is a pump to get water as well as toilets that have hand sanitizer. There are great trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Trains go by at night, so if that would bother you, bring earplugs. Sarah Creek campsite is a favorite with our group. Note: photos show both outdoor camping as well as tents & hammocks set up inside the one of the buildings, which is open on both...
