The first half to the summit is evenly sloped and muddy spots and small land bridges and watercrossings. The second half has an increased incline and rock faces and roots to navigate. With 3 miles round trip, it a nice hike for the family. After the summit, hike over to the cliffs for a more extraordinary view of Manchester...

The hiker can step into two separate trails. On the Carolyn's Trail, the hiker can take the 2.7km trip back to Ted's Trail head. Or the hiker can explore the Cliff Trail and return to the North Pack Monadnock summit and the Wapack Trail. There are multiple loop options from this...

Great hike. 16 Family and friends including 2b, 3g, 4g, 6g, 7g, 8g, 10g, 13g (all their parents) and 68 yr old grandparents.

2, 3, and 4 yr olds had to be carried in carriers for a good portion of it. The top of Carolyn's is challenging for the older folks. All the middle aged...

Hiked it in late Jan from the lower Mill Park at fwy 101. 8.8 miles out and back. The trail next to the cliff is best done counterclockwise so that you are climbing the steep part rather than descending. Spikes highly recommended. Icy and slippery.
