I've seen lots of fun park photos of folks enjoying the sculptures🦋 as well as reading through all of the reviews. I'm certain I would enjoy the park quite a bit and feel that the world is a better place for having the Sculptor🦖 in it. Some day should my life better it's self up enough to afford me a trip I'd love to visit and chat a little with the king!
The entrance fee, to me, seems entirely too reasonable considering what the costs pertaining to maintenance supplies, taxes, fair wages for time, skills🧑🎨, & labor🧑🏭 must be, AND you get to visit with the artist for a palpable $10/adult- $5/teen-$0/kiddos...Yet Reviews with complaints giving minimum 1☆ which feels terribly mean spirited for an overall review on the entirety. That's too harsh, to take 4☆ off for one part..., that's just petty. I bet the park owner would even give special consideration case by case for lg families that have daily struggles. Maybe an adult can sit it out for the benefit of the group cost, that's a beautiful contribution in itself🍀 The sculptures are still there and they still bring a whimsical twinkling for our eyes, that deserves at least 2☆ Apparently along with that there is some optional sneaky peeks, if we dare of some darker themes some find to call out as being... 😵🐐Satanic!🐃🙊 Head of a steer/cow does not=👹, that's a goat head, duh, Y'all. These silly reviewers seeing satanic imagery🙄 are projecting what's in their heart and minds onto this artist and that's such a sad negative part of them. I hope they can find a better light to shine on our world♡
I can't imagine this place not being wonderful for the heart of anyone lookin to bring out...
Read moreWe went yesterday to this. I read the handful of negative reviews about the satanism stuff prior to coming. I'm always a little apprehensive about that, as I don't wanna expose myself to something meant to be evil.... Those reviews are WAY off base. I suspect they didn't read the poetry along with the sculptures. There is a bit of a religious overtone to some, not overtly any particular religion.... just a spiritual theme. Many poems are exploring human life and the deeper meanings of it all. This guy also has a sense of humor and you can also pick up on that too in some of the more whimsical items. It is $10 per person. If you don't appreciate seeing outsider art than this place will not be for you. I felt like maybe it was a little steep price-wise... but I don't regret going and hey - more power to this guy if my entrance fee can help him earn a good living and keep on creating. All artists should be so fortunate to make a living at something they love. I'm an artist, and I've not been able to figure out...

The $10 admission was well worth it to us, some of the things we've paid way more to see can't come close to what we saw along the path in the grassy plains of South Dakota! The massive steel sculptures and creations capture your imagination and take you on a journey. Some are downright creepy, some are extremely bizarre, some are weirdly interesting and some are breathtaking! Many of the poetry boards that compliment the sculptures will leave you scratching your head and a few will leave you with a smile on your face!
The photo opportunities are endless and the grassy path through the sculptures is a nice nature walk. Pets are welcome to come along, our little one had a ball climbing on the colorful creations, he thought they were there for him!
A definite must stop on the Highway 90 in South Dakota, I mean, what else is...
