Highland Center for the Arts, and Julie (the manager), were a saving grace for our rehearsal dinner. We got married in Greensboro, VT, and were having a hard time finding a good spot that could accommodate a 30 person rehearsal dinner. I’m so happy we found Julie and the Highland Center for the Arts, as both were amazing and went above and beyond expectations. She set us up on the patio with live music, our signature cocktail (the Gibler, a version of a gin gimlet), and tons of delicious food (meatloaf, seafood fra diavlo, salad with maple syrup balsamic dressing, and tasty deserts and desert cocktails). The space—both indoors and outdoors—is gorgeous, and the walls are decorated with fantastic artwork and it’s beautifully and brightly lit. It’s a great space for people to walk around, chat, and get to know each other. Highland Center for the Arts takes care to really incorporate local vendors and flavors into their dishes, and her staff (especially her bartender Cassie) were all lovely. Even before the event, we had so much fun stopping by in between wedding planning activities to try out food in the cafe and create drinks with her and Cassie. Everyone was incredibly impressed. Thank you so much Julie, you are so welcoming and do such...
Read moreBeautiful building but Cafe was a major disappointment. Be sure to arrive when they are serving off the menu; we arrived and was told to order off the snack menu, which was not very good. I had the fritatta which was pretty tasteless even with the addition of lots of salt and pepper - they should remove that from the menu. The side salad it came with was very fresh, but had to ask for more dressing since it was barely there.
Others had the cheese plate which was good, and the vegetarian chili which was not bad.
Service was indifferent, we had to ask for water and coffee refills.
The building is beautiful, the art exhibit very good, too bad the highly recommended...
Read moreI was hired to help with some of the audio installation here, right before their first show. The place is run by genuinely kind and good people, and the facility is downright beautiful. I had the pleasure of watching "Roomful of Teeth" while I was there, and was able to hear the excellent acoustics of the room. The facility is located in the middle of gorgeous rolling hills. Find a show you're interested in and get to the Highland Center! ...or if you're a local, just come to the cafe for lunch and check out the theater. I think they're going to do some really...
