Independence Park — Attraction in Greenwood

Large multi - use park with paved walking trail, two large picnic shelters, basketball court, youth basketball court, restrooms, and playgrounds. The playground has areas for toddlers, younger children, and older children. Each area has mulch cover and contains multiple structures. The structures have educational elements. Awesome park. Best and safest playgrounds I could ever imagine. The playground area has a kinda rubber type surface, kinda makes you feel like your walking in the moon, or on a sponge top mattress lol. Had a great birthday party there today. My 58. I think my only recommendations is for trash receptacles be put in common areas, however there is a dumpster, a little further away, - nonetheless the place is exceptionally clean. My vote for the best little playground i have ever visited. The coolest swings....

Nice little park with a great new playground. Cool paved walking trail where you can read a storybook along the way. Public restrooms that include automatic sinks, soap dispensers, papertowels and a baby changing station. Looks like they closed them recently but they provided port-o-potties.
